What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?

Honestly, before I became a blogger I had never heard of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – and had actually never ever shopped at a Nordstrom before. However, I am so glad that I found out about this sale in time this year!

Basically what happens during this sale is: Nordstrom releases all of its new name-brand Fall inventory – but starts it off with a huge sale! The prices will go up to regular price on August 5th. This is a great way for you to freshen up your fall wardrobe or your work wardrobe, stock up on basics, get some new fall shoes, etc.!

But, don’t wait until the last minute to shop, because I had several items in my cart while I was still browsing that went out of stock before I could make my purchase. (and that was on the first say of the sale (which was July 12th).

Who can shop and When?

The sale is only open to Nordstrom card holders from July 12-July 19.

Full Discloser: I did not have an Nordstrom card until the day of the sale. I decided last minute to apply for a card (which took all of 5 seconds) so that I could shop the sale early – because I could already see that some of the items that I wanted were out of stock.

Also, I did NOT have to pay with the Nordstrom card (and I didn’t) – I just had to apply for it and get approved in order to add any of the sale items to my cart!

The sale opens to the general public on July 20th and runs until August 4th.

So if you look around and see some deals that you really want/need, then I would just apply for a card and buy the items early. If you just want to take a gamble and see what is left at the end, then wait around for public access.

Return Policy?

If you are like me and would have to shop online, Nordstrom’s return policy is super easy and free! So, if you buy something that doesn’t fit  – you can easily go online, click a button, print a prepaid mailing label, and send it back!

That is pretty much how I am doing all of my shopping these days. I just say screw it and buy it, get it and try it on, and if I don’t like it… then I send it back!

Thanks for checking out my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks! I can’t wait to get my items! I plan on shooting some styled looks with my purchases when I get back from my next trip (Tuesday/Wednesday).
