The Mark Addy Inn:
We set off on another Girls Trip to tour the best Wineries and Breweries in Virginia; and The Mark Addy Inn so graciously hosted us during our two night exploration! I have recently fallen head-over-heels in love with staying in bed and breakfast style hotels – and The Mark Addy Inn did not disappoint! Plus, the location is perfect – it is located right off of the Nelson 151 – which is a stretch of road in VA that is home of tons of great wineries, breweries, and restaurants! The Mark Addy Inn is located in Nellysford, VA, and about 30 minutes from Charlottesville, VA!
In a few days, I will be creating a full recap of all of the wineries, breweries, and restaurants that we went to during our trip. However, I wanted to start by introducing you to this wonderful property with a detailed description of its charm and amenities. Because – even if wineries aren’t your scene, I still recommend a weekend getaway to the VA Blue Ridge Parkway and The Mark Addy Inn!
The Innkeepers at The Mark Addy Inn were extremely hospitable during our entire stay! Plus, the breakfast each morning was out-of-this-world, and the complimentary Sangria was such a nice touch!
A Quick Tour:
There is plenty of room to sit on the front porch or relax in a hammock in the backyard. Or if you prefer to be inside, there is beautiful common room with a piano and a TV!
The beauty of staying at a bed and breakfast is that you are truly allowed to make yourself at home! And, The Mark Addy Inn made it very easy for us to feel welcomed and comfortable!
As I mentioned, the staff at the Mark Addy Inn truly makes you feel welcomed! They are always nearby and ready to assist! But with that said, you also have plenty of personal space to truly make yourself at home!
The Inn itself has the typical older-styled bed and breakfast feel. However, everything was clean, neat, tidy, and inviting! You might also notice the Trip Advisor certificate of excellence in the photo below!
There is a small common-area kitchen with coffee and sangria readily available for all guests! Guests are also welcome to place their own food in the fridge and use the kitchen as needed!
A full breakfast (each morning) is included with your overnight stay at the Mark Addy Inn, and it was probably my favorite part! Breakfast is served as a 3-course meal: fruit, bread/pastries, and then a breakfast place. In addition, coffee and Juice is also provided, and Mimosas can be purchased! Also, the food that is served changes daily; so if you stay for more than one night, then you will get to experience different meals during your stay! Food is pictured below 🙂
Each room in the Mark Addy Inn is a different, but all of the ones that we saw were clean, neatly decorated, and inviting. The picture below is actually of a random room that I was able to capture. We were slightly bad at photographing our own room, because once two girls unpacked all of the suitcases it was not exactly a photogenic scene. However, I will highlight that we had a very comfortable king-sized bed and our bathroom had a huge whirlpool tub!
Again, I highly recommend The Mark Addy Inn for your next mountain getaway! It is reasonably priced, gorgeous, and has a one-of-a-kind location to all of the nearby breweries, wineries, and restaurants!
Thanks for reading about the Mark Addy Inn. I hope you stay tuned for the Full Winery/Restaurant Recap Blog that will be out in the next few days!
