A Behind the Scenes look at a Local Boutique:
Southern Frills is located in downtown South Boston, VA. Owners Lauren and Taylor are both locally born and raised residents of the area. The two girls have a long-lasting friendship and decided to compete in a local business startup competition just over 2 years ago. Only 6 pitches won the grant money to help with start-up costs, and through this Southern Frills was born.
A True Local Business:
Southern Frills is not only fabulous because it is a locally owned small business itself, but they also work closely with local photographer Heather Chipps for all of the photography needs. In addition, they use local friends and community members in each of their photoshoots for online shopping and promotion.
Affordable, Quality Boutique Styles:
Southern Frills has been such an inspiration to the South Boston area. Before they opened, there were not many shopping options in town… especially not of their level of style and affordability. Southern Frills has opened many opportunities for local shoppers to #shopsmall while staying in style! In addition, Southern Frills offers a much wider variety of sizing options, as compared to other similar boutiques that I have seen in the past.
