Danville Fashion Week (DFW), which takes place each November, is a series of events where a variety of fashion collections are shown to buyers, the press, and the general public. DFW’s mission is to build a platform where talents such as fashion, dance, and music can be cultivated and embraced by the people of the Dan River Region. Purchase tickets to this year’s show online here.

DFW was founded in 2016 by Kelly Cunningham and Bryant Hood.
Kelly is the founder and CEO of The Fashion Haus, a local fashion house that provides training in self-esteem exercising, photoshoots, runway training, etiquette, and more for aspiring models.
Bryant Hood is the founder and CEO of Economics Through Edutainment (ETE) Productions, a production company geared towards proving local artists with consulting, marketing promotions, development, management, and booking.
On November 25th, 2016, the first DFW Fashion Show themed ‘Colors of Fashion’ debuted.

This year’s DFW is called “Organized Chaos.” The show is on Saturday, November 21 from 7 to 10 PM at the Institute of Advanced Learning and Research (150 Slayton Ave Danville, VA 24540). Purchase tickets online here. (This event has been postponed due to Covid).
Even if fashion isn’t your thing – it’s a great opportunity to support many local entrepreneurs and artists. You can view the local 2020 Designers here.
As far as my own self goes – life has been crazy busy and full of changes (great ones), but I do miss making art, photography, and creating outfits. So I am very excited and hope this helps inspire me to get back in touch with my own creativity. I hope to see you there!
